Project 67: Ukulele up my sleeve

The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, I listened to the audio book from the library (on hoopla) last year and thought it sounded like a great idea. I even started the momental discarding phase and then got stalled partway through my clothes. But it has got my attention again and so I started to reread it. I picked up where I left off and did a mini clean up of just jackets and coats. I don’t have many so it was not hard, but I did wake up the next day second guessing getting rid of a jacket I don’t even like. When I looked at it again, there was no question to get rid of it.

Why do I want to do this? Do I want to set aside the time? I’m not sure. Leaning towards some type of decluttering. Although I was reminded of this essay, a definite NO!

The second jacket to go had a broken main zipper and was no longer waterproof. I turned one sleeve into a ukulele bag. That sparks joy!

A follow up (June 10, 2017)…. I found a more useful book about cleaning up on the same shelf in the library as the one by Marie Kondo’s, here is the website, UYH.
