Project 45: Patchwork Journal Cover (Makeover for a plain old notebook)

A couple of months ago at my quilting group, I learned how to make this square…

I finally got around to making it into a journal cover for my humble notebook. If you want to be more polished then finish the edges as you go. I didn’t bother this time. I just folded a piece of paper around my notebook to get an idea of what I wanted to do with the fabric and how much I would need. Once the fabric is folded around the notebook the way you want it, iron the folds and sew the flaps down. You could do this by hand or machine, or even glue gun or some kind of adhesive.
