Early in the season we had lots of lettuce, herbs, and a bit of bok choy, peashoots and rhubarb…
Later there were raspberries, Swiss chard and kale, cherries, apples, and a few tomatoes.
Some huge carrots and potatoes were dug up on Thanksgiving weekend. The potatoes were a bit of a surprise. I had checked on them earlier in the year and didn’t see any signs of potatoes forming. Also they had been pretty neglected, only getting occasional waterings. Finally, I made some jelly from our grapes and chokecherries combined.
A little off topic since we’re well past Thanksgiving, but did anyone have a deep fried turkey? Hope you have a laugh and avoid any frying mishaps.
Wouldn’t a QR code to this video make an excellent warning?
