Project #4: Flared jean skirt

These jeans were well worn having been through at least two kids. They came to us as hand me downs, or “hand me rounds” as my daughter called when she was about 4 years old. They were torn in places but the waist still fits my skinny kid. I used the legs of the jeans to make a wallet and the top part was made into this skirt. The rose fabric was from the top of a torn bed sheet that came from my husband’s grandfather’s house.

The wallet idea came from a book from the library called Injeanuity, by Ellen Warwick.
