A central focus of this class will be the spine and back health. You will learn simple exercises that mobilize the spine and release holding patterns of stress in the lower back, upper back and neck. From the spine outward, we will cultivate strength and balance when moving the whole body from head to toe. If you feel stiffness in your back, shoulders or hips or hold tension in areas such as the shoulders, neck, or jaw; this awareness is the first step. We can learn to relax muscles that overwork and move muscles that are underused, balancing the effort in the body and leaving you with more energy and a feeling of lightness. Practical connections to everyday movements such as walking will also be highlighted. This class provides space and time to connect with a more centred version of ourselves. Explore in a gentle way, moving with less strain and more ease.
